History

GYANAJYOTI PUBLIC SCHOOL (GPS) began its educational journey in the year 2008 in Rourkela steel township of Sundargarh district of Odisha. GPS is established with the assistance and support of the Gyanajyoti Charitable Trust. The trust comprises of a high level erudite and intellectual members with their mammoth experience in the field of education. Our motto is to foster quality education and instill students to become a part of pedagogical environment. It is a matter of concern that in a developed city like Rourkela the per capita income of many people is very less but the literacy rate is remarkable. Gyanajyoti Public School is not far behind of such mass educational program. The school is committed to impart a high quality education to its students and make the school stand as the model school in the state. The school is gifted with devoted and dedicated teachers, experienced academicians and an excellent and encouraging greenery educational surrounding. Since the very beginning its members have been strenuously working round the clock to offer comprehensive and holistic education. Besides the academic activities, various personality development activities have commenced in the school for spawning innovative thoughts in students mind. For its high quality education it has become one of the most important schools in Rourkela. It is affiliated to CBSE and planning to upgrade it up to class XII in a separate building to be constructed soon. Our mission is to crown the school with quality education with the infrastructure of an ideal school.

• Extracurricular activities like Essay, Debates, Quiz, Drawing, Dance and Music competitions are conducted for the overall development of students
• Playing facilities during recreation & game period are also available for Kindergarten Students
• Meetings with Parents at regular interval (on every 2nd Saturday, 8AM – 10AM).
